One of you guys pointed me towards Painless Perf. and their harness #60102 seems would be proper except they note it's for "NON-electronic transmissions. I think my trans is #41l60? It states for the "200-4r and 700r4 and other non-electronic.Trying to get to the BOTTOM of my restoration today i will remove the intake runners to remove the injectors for the latest in replacements. Here is where i wish to REPLACE the poor harness.I am hoping for a painless replacement.I am not very good/w those silly crimping pliers
I believe what they mean by electonic trans is the shifting points are set electronically..Your 89 came from the factory with a 700R4 which isn't electronic. The shift points on the 700R4 are done the old fashion way with pressure switches and the only part electronic is the OD lockup..The best thing to do would be to call "Painless" and see what they say..They"re your best source for information....WW

The 700r4 and the 4l60 are basically the same transmission.
They are 'manually' controlled. (non-electronic)
The 4l60e and 4l80e are 'electronically' controlled.
I have two of their harnesses and they are of excellent quality
In reference to your question they have the correct connections for your non electronic T700 trans
NON-Electronic!!!! THanks for the clarification! Woo-Hoo! I'm psyched to replace this decrepit old harness.More complicated than the '69 Camaro i once did.Similar to my Ducati Superbike.I replaced one on my Ducati ST2 last year, that one was bad too.I learned to use those special crimp tools.I shuddered the thought of building one myself.
I want the most robust harness i can find. One with the latest/best automotive wire available.
