Default 1994 OptiSpark - vented or non vented?

Without having to jack it up and actually look at the old one how do i tell which one i need? I have a 1994 base model. Summitt racing has two listed one is vented and the other is non.

non-vented x2

Hope you arent planning on buying anything other than an AC Delco new old stock manufacturer -they are still available. just pricey.

I also recommned adding an air inlet and vent to it when you put the new one in. There are many threads about how to do this (in the old archives)

Beware:
AC Delco remanufactured optispark isnt the same. I had one with a defective optical sensor (they put in new bearings, seals, cap, but 'recycle' the optical sensor - which is the most important part of the unit. )

In my case, you could see where they put black spray paint on the optical sensor and call it new.

I was really piszed because they had some kind of 'rest-assured this part is made to strict gm quality standards' paper inside it.

Yeah, I wasnt resting when I had to put 5 hours of work into it to remove the defective 'rest-assured' unit and install a working unit.

I also want to mention the vendor : gmpartsdirect
was a total cun! about the defective part they sold me. Total ****$.

good luck.
