Is there any way to check my shocks to see if they need replacement? the current shocks are probably 20 years old now. And what would you suggest for replacement? bilsteins on it now. I've heard different opinions (good and bad) about KYB

if cost is not a factor, go back with the OEM Bilsteins...if cost is a consideration, then KYB is the inexpensive way out...and yes, they probably need to be replaced. if the car does more than a single rebound when bounced/jounced, the shocks are worn.
