Default Post mod questions

I added the following mods to my car starting with the exhuast and working my way up to the heads and intake which were just completed and had a few questions. What should my fuel pressure be with the larger injectors? It is an auto and wondered if i needed a shift kit and if so what brand and type? It has 3.07 gears and i was thinking about going to 3.73's and had heard of whining being a bad issue with changing the gears. The mods i added are listed below. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

FIC 32LB BOSCH 3 SET OF 8 - Fuel Injector Connection

Pro Form 66915 rocker arms

Trick Flow 21407100 pushrods

Autolite 104 plugs gapped at .035"

Lloyd Elliot LE2 heads with the Manley 2.00/1.56 valves and Patriot Gold Extreme springs, Titanium retainers, locks and locators

205 cc intake port flow about 275/190 CFM

224/230 .573/.568 112 LSA. – 1700-6100 RPM CAM

Edelbrock 58mm Throttle Body EDL-3810

American racing headers 1 3/4" Primaries With 3" Collectors, 3" X-pipe (With Cats)

Corsa Exhaust

SLP claw intake system

3k stall convertor from Edge racing

do you have a tune? if not i recommend pcm for less. That will take care of your larger injectors and fuel pressure issues.

You def need gears with that.

It will only whine a lot if someone installs them wrong
If they did make a tiny bit of noise you wont hear it over the car anyway

Should make a solid 350+ at the tire there.

Let me give you good advice. Sell those proform rockers quicker then you paid for them.. they have great customer service.. but this does not help.. if you cant drive your car! my experience with them in a complete 358 build.. the fulcrum material is very brittle!!! the roller bearings are so small and brittle!! Less then 2,000 miles the roller bearings disintegrated. Also if you have larger valve springs.. reading your cam specs.. you have 1.5 springs. the rocker body will hit. Your retainers. There went my complete engine build.. nice hardended dust in my oil!!!

Those proforms are still crap?

I bought a set in the late 90s and they disintegrated within 300 miles with a wimpy 120lb flat tappet spring. Wow.

Go with Crane Golds. I ran 3:73s with a 700r4. Good street/strip combo.

its not that big a jump really. Youll notice a slight difference in normal driving and cruise rpm but if that gear is matched to your mods on WOT it will really move out like its supposed to. Thats when youll say "Ok this was the right thing to do"

Gear it for the cam not for a desired cruise rpm it be what it will be.
