engine code 34 on 89 tpi
I have a little play in my throttle body linkage, can that cause a trouble code 34? car started shutting off when I hit the gas. I cleaned the throttle body and now it is shutting off while in park/neutral. I did not remove any sensors when cleaning the throttle body, so the TPS should be the same as it has been for years.

finally got around to doing this... two problems, I kept getting a code 34 all the way through the process. 2nd problem is the car wouldn't run more than 3 seconds with the MAF disconnected.
