I have been looking at the same thing. The diagram for EGR Valve Identification in the FSM sure makes it appear the are 3 possibilities. Checking mine while still on the car (not the easiest thing to see) it would appear my assembly plant code is "DKZ", my Part Identification Number appears to be "17082172", my build date is "218" and the build date year/shift type of valve code looks like "22N". Checking online I don't see anywhere (yet) where I find anyone making the distiction between positive, negative or ported. Pluggung in the p/n has not gotten me anything related to an EGR. This does not really answer your question, but I am in the same boat.
