Default Exhaust/ed Questions

I have been pouring over the web trying to make the right choice as far as the exhaust system to get. It is between Magnaflow and Corsa. I know that this has been beaten to death on this forum but I want your guys opinions on my specific questions if you please. I have a Manaflow Y Pipe and high flow cat already. My brother in law gets a discount on both of these companies but the price break on the Corsa system may only be like$200. So I will still be paying close to a grand for a cat back system. I should be able to get the Magnaflow for like $2-300. Seems like an easy choice as far as the price...right?? My thing is.....I can't stand drone! My car is sooooo loud on the highway and on the street. I need to know how bad the drone is at Highway speeds with the Magnaflow. Im not too pleased with how the Magnas look either. Im not rich, but I will pay more for the right reason. Please give me some info on how bad the Magnaflows drone so I can decide if I have to spend $1000 to shut my car up

If the drone is that big of a concern for you, then it's a no-brainier...........go with Corsa. People will always argue about how a particular system sounds or how much it drones. For example, some will tell Magnaflow doesn't drone and others will tell you there is significant drone. One thing, however, seems pretty constant when reading threads about exhaust and that is that Corsas virtually eliminate interior resonance.

I went with Corsa on my 91 (383, headers, no cats) earlier this year and I can tell you I can't believe I waited as long as I did. My car still sounds mean, but it's now enjoyable to drive. I can now carry on a conversation in the car and I don't get a headache after 5 minutes.

People can argue about wether they like the exhaust note of Corsas and I understand that as sound is subjective. If the drone, however, is your main concern then it's an easy decision as far as I'm concerned.

That Magnaflow will drone. I don't have Corsa, but many in here do and they love them.

I was hopeing somebody was going to tell me the Magnaflow doesn't drone. I guess it was wishfull thinking I guess with your very informative answer the choice is obvious. Corsa it is! I have trouble forking over all that money, but I will not be happy with the drone Magnaflow it seemos. I hate living with regret and by buying the Corsa it seems I wont have any. Thanks again for all the info. I hope maybe sometime you will have a question that I can shed some light on.

Glad I could help out. Here's a thread I posted awhile back with videos that compare my old mufflers (Flowmasters 40 series) with the Corsas. I think most will agree that the Corsas sound more aggressive, but they don't drone. The Flowmasters, however, would rattle the fillings out of your teeth.
