Default LT1 383 Rear main leak

I have just finished installing my fresh LT1 383 into my 94 vert. I guess the good news is it sounds awesome and has great oil pressure. The bad news is it is pumping about a quart a minute out of the rear main seal area when it is running. I am a bit puzzled at this since I had zero issues with the assembly in that area. I am obviously going to have to pull the trans to try to figure out the problem. I am looking for some input as to what I should be looking for as when I put it together it all looked good, and I fear I am going to take it apart and not see any obvious reason why this is happening.
Thanks
Roy

Double check the oil sending unit had something similar on mine could have sworn it was the main. Hard to see with clean oil.

Hope for the best!

The most common thing - With the 1pc rear seal it's easy to forget about the block to seal adapter housing gasket....

Second thing - It's also easy to knock the spring off the rerar main seal installing it on to the crackshaft... espc some aftermarket cranks which don't have much of a champer on the flywheel flange.

Third thing- you can tear the seal lip because of the crank flange is pretty sharp on some aftermarket cranks.... You have to be real careful to get it up on there without hanging the seal lip on the crank.
