Im in the process of in lt1 swap into my 85 and the exhaust isnt matching up, so im going new. I already have a catback system that will work. What im looking for is headers to cats. What are within reason on price, but still good quality? OBX looks reasonable but some say not to get them.

These look, fit, standard to modified TPI's best but you pay for all that know how.
Of course headers are made in various size primary and secondary pipe diameter/lengths to suit where particular engine builds produce their peak power/torque. Horses for courses a 10,000 rpm race engine has different header needs to a 5,500 rpm TPI
We resemble that remark. Vette, PM me a contact number or call us directly 631-608-1986 and we'll go into all the details on what we offer and what differentiates us from our competitors. There's quite a bit. Thanks.
Talk to randy @ ragin racing. He got me a great price.
I just ordered them and am looking forward to installing them.
Also another good header:
I bought TPIS 1 3/4" (3" collector) long tube headers (steel, ceramic coated) in 2002 and they served me well. There were 0 fitment issues, no burned plug wires or anything like that.
One of my issues with some of the other companies headers is they are 1 5/8" which is too small for the higher rev'ing lt1. Especially if it has heads/cam.
That said 1 5/8" would probably serve an l98 very well if your goal is TQ.
I have heddman hedders 1 5/8 stock zz4 heads stock cam. Keeps my power down low which I love. My friend has a efi carb 350 he has hooker and they look heavy duty, good quality,
Have a 90 that came with long tube headers.....how do I identify the manufacture ?
Most of the time the company would mark its name on the hedder, mine is on the driver side, give it a quick wipe down and see if ya can find one on either side. Or call up the previous owner
