Take that wire off. Then install a toggle switch under your dash somewhere convenient and run that wire to the switch. This will allow you to turn it on and off at your convenience.
See if you can get some liquid electrical tape (available at a boating store) and then put that and a shrink tube over the splice.
Your wiring is non stock so all bets are off.
The orange wire could be one of the several under hood power feeds;
fuel pump / pump OP switch / MAF relays / etc
OK i TEST THE CABLE. at this time when I turn key to on. (no start.) the fan stay off.
that is with the orange wire umplug.
now if I plug the orange wire to the battery or to the red wire on the relay. the fan turn on inmediately.
I will have to trace that orage cable and see where it go. also I have to try to run the engine into hot to see if the fan start when reach hi temperature
ok need help with the orange wire. I disconnect the orange wire try to start the car I get no start condition. I conect the orange wire directly to battery. I get start and the radiator fan start spining.
try to trace this wire back and it get lost in the loop behin the motor.
ok i connect the orange wire to battery .away from the fan relay . i check the wire diagram and on the fan relay and all look to be connected ok. bit i keep getting fan spining all the time .
