Dash shuts off when after starting
I have a 1988 corvette and have recently come up with some dash issues. The dash is fine when you just have it running off the battery, but when I start it, it shuts off. You can slightly see the dash frozen at all the levels and stats it was at when it shut off. When you turn it off completely and then try to start it again, the numbers and levels are no longer frozen at what they were, but completely all over the charts. Someone told me it's possible the alternator is over powering, so I replaced that, but it still does it. Any thoughts?

Go thru ALL the harness grounds and the power source connections. Grounds are everywhere. Most important are on a bolt near the oil filter. Power comes from the jumper pole thru fusable links.
