...but my FSM is packed away (home for sale = decluttering and offsite storage).
My Vette, which is also stored, makes that 'click' sound everytime I start moving from a stop. It has all new u-joints and I think the likely culprit is bad or loose teflon washers on the rear stubs. I have part #14076924 jotted down - is that still accurate? And the silly question is - is it just 1 washer per hub - in other words I only need to buy 2, correct? I'm in a phase of collecting parts to do some TLC this summer.
Ah, so bout the same total price online vs dealer. Might as well buy online and save myself the trip.
Honestly not sure on the bearings. They don't howl, grind or make other noise. I don't notice and slop or weird movement in rear of the car while driving. I'll feel them out when I go in to change the washers. Car had around 113k street miles. I don't track it and it doesn't show any signs or ever being used for track purposes.

The reason I asked is because my washers made a squealing sound when they needed to be changed, they didn't click.. Raise the back of the car and grab the wheel at the top and bottom , then wiggle back and forth to see if there's any play. Do this again, but this time grab the wheel at both sides and wiggle back and forth...If you feel any play at all , the bearings need to be replaced..If your going to be replacing washers anyway, you might as well check the bearings while your at it.....WW
