1990 6 speed sound...
So. Just tonight we picked up a really nice white 1990 6 speed. Well I've been creeping the forum a long time and gone through several c4's but never a 6 speed. Now obviously I've heard/read about the 6 speed noises but this one sound different. Now pardon my ignorance if its a simply problem, but it seems to have a sort of off beat CHUG sound that happens every .2-.7 seconds (in neutral)
Now.
The thing that may be where my ignorance comes into play is it has a slight miss at about the same rate as the transmission does this. I can't hear to see if they are related because the CHUG is so pronounced.
We just picked up the car an hour ago and we think. Bad injector on #7. But at high rpm 3500-4500 it is very smooth. 1000-2500 is extremely rough, only after the car has warmed up.
Sorry if I'm being vague but I work 14hrs a day so it has been an extremely long day.
I appreciate any insight. Im sure we'll have this worked soon. TEAMWORK!
