cant open hood

cant open hood
anybody know how to open a hood on a c4 ...my passenger side releases but drivers side wont. pulling hood release feels like cable is streached or loose. anyone know any tricks on this subject?

Easy tool to replicate, I think I just cut off the end of a snake and then bent the hook. After about 5 minutes off playing it popped open. I then installed the emergency hood cables.

I agree. The black mark on the tool pictured I believe is for depth of insertion? Kind of gives you a clue to how far to go to start looking for the place to hook.
