Hey chuck, how easy were those valve covers to get off? I'm thinking about cleaning up my ENTIRE engine compartment (plus I have these stinkin valve seals I gotta do) the only thing holding me back is getting those valve covers off...any tips/tricks? Thanks!
*EDIT*- I just noticed you don't have a Smog Pump anymore..so it makes it THAT much easier for you.
Yes, the smug pump is another obstruction to deal with. I just took my time. The wiper motor and A/C stuff has to get loosened and moved a bit to pop them off. Another PITA was one of the bolts keeping the A/C brace on falls right between the two fuel lines leading to the fuel rail. I backed it out far enough to room the bracket but took some time.
Don't forget to disconnect all of you connections from your wiring harness and pull them back up towards the windshield. Its a little tricky to do on the drivers side due to a cable running through the runners. You'll see what I mean when you get to it.
