Default HELP! Code 41!

So here is where I'm at. I just replaced the heater core on my 91 coupe A/T.. After that joyful experience prior to buttoning up the under dash I wanted to check for leaks. I reconnected the battery and the speedo display showed a "SYS" indication and the climate control button lights were going on and off intermittently. Turned off the key and turned on again. I didn't hear the fuel pump pressure up the system or any of the "normal" sounds I hear when first starting the car.
Pulled the codes and got a code 41 current and historic. No other codes. The car ran great prior to changing the heater core. I've been under the dash three times looking for something I may have missed. Any suggestions would be great. I really can't believe I could have damaged the ECM or anything, the battery was disconnected for the whole process.

Check your ECM connectors carefully and check the grounds on the engine, remove, clean reinstall. Also possible your battery went south so go have it tested.

Seems strange this would show up. The car ran excellent Thursday, changed the heater core and now it wont start. Battery is good, fuses are good, grounds have been checked.....

Found the problem! It seems Chevrolet doesn't mind having the same connectors in the same location. I began going through the wiring I disturbed to remove the heater core checking that the CDM was plugged right, the 6 and 7 pin flat connectors were color coded correctly etc. After I finished that I looked at the "clip board" where the connectors are attached and found two (2 each) male and female box shaped connectors right next to each other. After pulling the tape back on them it was obvious I had connected them reversed. After switching them all was good, car started right up. Thank God I didn't start chasing ghosts and stuck with what I messed with. (Fortunately, or not, electrical system parts aren't readily available to go swapping crap out)
I still find it a bit stupid that Chevrolet would use the exact same style connectors next to each other. Oh well, lesson learned.
