Default Gears
I've been looking into getting a set of 3:73s for my automatic. What will this do for the car performance wise ? More torque but limit top end? Also will it mess up the speedometer calibration ?

More torque, you will need to install a new spedo gear or programer. Do not worry about top end you will still stay in 3rd gear in the 1/4 mile. Assuming that you do not want to drive 165 MPH you will be happy with the gears.
Around 2600 RPM at 70 MPH. This was one of the most noticable performance enhancing modification that I made. Do it.. :yesnod:

3.73 for an A4 is a SUPER combination.

I agree with all of the above..do it..BTW I got off mine at 138 mph...who cares after that.. :D

On a 94, youll love 3.73s. You will have to get a Power Programmer to reset the speedo though.
