Need Superram instal help.
The brake master requires you to get a 13" piece of 7/32" vacuum line. Connect the 90* brass vacuum fitting to the vacuum hold on the back-left of the SR pointing down, and connect that 13" piece of hose to it and the brake master.
On the right rear, I believe that I have the three vac holes with the three small single barbed fittings, plus one more threaded hole above the three that apears to the same size as Ideas? thoughts? Doesn't appear that I've got any small bolt holes.
Lastly, it appears that my throttle cable is almost too long. Ideas?
Thanks.
My leftmost one is my HVAC line, the middle is my fuel pressure regulator, the rightmost one is blocked off (I have no MAP on a MAF car.) Above and between the middle and right vacuum fitting you can see a single M6x12 screw installed. That is where you would bolt the MAP sensor bracket.
Thanks.
If auto, you need to lay your throttle valve cable for the tranny down BEFORE you bolt the plenum on. You lay it inside the runners between them and the plenum. I was able to use my stock throttle cable bracket on my stick car. The auto MAY require a different one. Some haven't.

Here's a throttle cable pic:

MAP is in front of the distrib - I used the bracket & bolt off the old plenum - had to bend it some, don't remember - maybe it had to be inverted? Don't have a close-up pic.

I used the far right fitting for the Map sensor. the threaded hole abpve those 3 ports is for a bolt. I think someone opened that hole up to use it for an additional fitting on your plenum. That bolt is to hold the maps sensor bracket onto the superram. I had some trouble using the stock bracket and made my own out of sheet metal. It is just an L shaped bracket.
Also, I just ran my throttle cable over the plenum. I dont know if you are suppose to run it under it. I did not have any room because I ran all the injector wires under the plenum, and they were wrapped in heat sheild.

THere's some FUNKY stuff goin on in those pictures! You're showing 1-2-4-6-8-7-?-? for a firing order? (As opposed to 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Um, for many years an outfit called 'Crossfire' made the caps that I used on my Chebbie V-8's - you can see one here, if you are interested: http://yearwood.safeshopper.com/562/cat562.htm?13
Also, as HH points out, Moroso made the 'Maxi Cap' which was similar, and there were one or two others. I don't think any of them are available any more - old-style distribs aren't really the wave of the future.
BTW, if you look at an LT-1 engine, you will notice that even GM eventually learned how to bring the plug wires out on the same side of the engine where they are being used (without having to change the firing order). Wiring can do wonderful things like that.

How hard was it for you guys to screw in the brake vacuum fitting, mine almost seems like the fitting is too large for the hole and won't readily turn more than the first thread or so. I won't force it, just thought I'd ask before I proceed. (SR was purchased new)
I really don't want to use any gasket adhesive on the upper SR but some guys say to use it, are vacuum leaks that likely on the SR upper?
I used a very light coat of RTV on both sides of the runner lower and upper gaskest. I didn't use any on the TB or the lid gaskets.
