Default Modified Stealth Ram

Has anyone seen or actually bought just the lower part of the stealth ram? Can you get a part no.? I have the part no. for the upper and lower but I want to fabricate my own plenum to fit under the hood. I need to know if you can purchase the lower part alone. Thanks

As far as I can tell (from talking with quite a few people) the most basic setup you can get is the intake and plenum together.

I too am going to be using the StealthRAM on my new motor, and will be modifying the plenum that ships with the intake.

Out of curiosity, how do you plan on modifying the plenum? I am very interested in this.

Cut the bottom off of the plenum, machine from the bottom up and have the bottom welded back on. Then machine for th throttle body. Should be pretty simple.

look at the pictures, while its possiable to modify the plenum its easier to build a new one from scratch like this,

Is this going to be any easier or better fit than the alternatives, MiniRam, SuperRam, etc.? Does it have all the plumbing holes?

It looks like the box height would give better torque than the mini, LT1 type.

I suppose if you've got the knowledge to bodge something like this up than it's not an issue...but how the heck do you tune the REST of the car to handle this intake? I realise the rest of the intake is an excercize in plumbing, but how to you tell the ECU how to handle the additional airflow? MAF or MAP?

Burn a custom chip after you take some "snap shots" of what the car is doing. :D

Old MAF would be a problem because it has a top on airflow. MAP doesn't matter because its based on percent of pressure. Thus it really doesn't know if 100 cfm or 10,000 cfm is coming in, just the pressure.

I wish someone would post if this thing is plumbed for "street" use.
