Headlight Motor Relay..why does it keep breaking?
Isn't it funny, I'm now on my third unit! :eek: I've bought all 3 from Pep Boys at $17 when I SHOULD have only been paying $10 a piece from GMPartsDirect.com! I'm thinking they've been giving me the WRONG piece! Can someone verify on their STOCK units the #'s BEFORE the 10031018 # (Their should be four #'s ABOVE that number; so far I've seen 7148 and 9126)

Measure the motor current and compare it against the other headlight motor. Of course the wrong headlight relay may not be able to handle the normal motor current, but I think it quite odd that you can find a plug-in relay with the same terminal connections and made for a lower current rating.

Hmm...it's possible. I "pinched" the wire for the headlight motor...but I didn't think it actually cut through the wires...but I'll check.
