How to level pop up headlights.

Default How to level pop up headlights.

The pop up headlights are not level when closed with the rest of the hood. How do you level them? Thanks in advance for your comments theynare greatly appreciated!!

What year?? Which way are they out of level, front to back or left to right??

Turn the **** on top of the motor to adjust them flush.

You can level them to a certain amount by loosening the mounting screws for the top cover or also by adjusting the bolt that is used to stop the rotation of the unit..

With the 84 if you rotate it off the stop bolt it will fight to return to its original position.. The 84 has power to the close circuit even with power off. What keeps it from staying powered is the internal contacts of the motor as it loads up against the stop bolt..

The aren't supposed to be level. They are supposed to be adjusted so that the front is a little lower than the hood and the back is a little higher than the hood.

The purpose of this is to prevent rock chips by deflecting the rocks from the edges of the headlights and openings.

They do look like crap unless there level.... I adjusted mine by loosening the small screws on the covers and adjusting them up or down to get them even..Like mentioned above the rubber bump stop can be adjusted also.........WW
