my 1986 coupe has a pretty good leak at the heater control valve.was wondering if there is a rebuild kit available and if so where do i buy one. or should injust replace the whole thing { $170.00}. also is it pretty ez to do a rebuild ?? tnx in advance..............jerry

are you sure it's the valve and not the vacuum lines in back of it? Mice love to chew on them
Available on ebay for a lot less than $170
if so, new ones leak. Its NOT a 'got to have' item for the heat & a/c to work right. It just stops water from flowing to the core when the heater is NOT being used.
After 2 or 3, I took mine out and built a replacement system to accept the 1/4" line from the intake, and the 2 heater lines to and from the core. Brass fittings, a cpl barbed fittings...done. No mo leakin.
