Default Lost 1/2 a second

I went to the strip last night and I did some upgrades this year and seem to loose time ?
Any ideas?

I put on
4 qa1 shocks (dialed to 0 for drag racing)
New bosh 3 injectors
new plugs
new wires
I went from my performnce chip to my stockchip
a Line lock (this was not my best idea its now a electric parking brake)

some how my best time was 14.9! last year I was around 14.5 with the egr causing detenation.

It felt like it was shifting into high gear way early. The trans fluid looks a little dark but not burnt, It did not feel like it was slipping.

I was told the track was very loose but i didnt really notice any tire spin,

Vet racers please educate a newb

Get out your best time slip from today and compare it to your best time slip from before... post both and I'll see if I can tell you whats going on.

Indeed incremental times, especially short time as well as trap speed is needed.

BTW, what were air temp, RH and pressure at each event? I have equations to normalize ET & trap speed for temp & baro.

What year Vette?

Stock standard should be 14.5 sec quarters, fit headers open the air filter cover for more airflow and fit an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and set to 45-50 psi. that will knock a second of your quarter mile time.

Unbolt your cat and put in a straight thru pipe for the track. Underdrive pulleys will also help. These two took my 85 from 14.0 to 13.6 (automatic with 3.07 gears).

No cat, and Open pipes @ the rear via electric Cut outs

I see a blueprint engine in my future I think she is pretty tired after 28 years it may be just time to replace the motor

No cat should have cut close to a second off your times.

The 85 should use 24 pound injectors, did you replace the injectors with the same rated at 24 pounds?

If it's shifting way early the area under the power curve would be way down, resulting is higher ET and lower trap speed.
