Sweet, Where can I find this set up? I have been looking at Mid-America and Ecklers but I think they want too much.
Everything in the "snapshot" on the right side is just C5 conventional "over the counter" parts. The adapter bracket NOT pictured) to mount is the issue and VBP does what looks like a quality part. I don't think I'd rush to an eBay buy or use that "rough" image with only about 3/4's of the dimensions required that was posted earlier in this thread. A proper mount assures correct brake application, even pad wear and rotor wear. Close but not correct specs offer NONE of those!

Is the same true for the rear brakes as well? The parts are all over the counter excluding the mounting plate?

Going to C5 rear brakes will not be anywhere as easy as the front conversion. The 84'-87 rear brakes had an internal drum-style parking brake similar to the C5 parking brake. 88 and later C4's used the caliper itself as the parking brake.
The best thing to do for the C4 rear bakes is get good rotors and brake pads.

The rear C4 rotors are pretty close to the rear C5 rotors in terms of diameter and thickness. They both use single piston calipers and the surface area of the pads are similar.
WVZR-1 is right about the C5 components. The C5 rotor, caliper, abutment bracket and guide pins and rubber boots can be found anywhere. The C4 flexible brake lines can even be used on the C5 caliper. As far as the caliper itself, the only difference between the standard C5 caliper and the Z06 caliper is that the Z06 caliper is red.
Now I get why there are front brake upgrade kits. I was thinking about the VBP kit for all 4 wheels but I think I may just replace my existing rear calipers and rotors with stock and perform the front upgrade.
On my 95 I have j55 with ss lines, syn fluid, brake proportioning spring, Hawk pads, slotted rotors, they stop well, but my stock brakes on my 02Z will throw you into windsheild if not careful.
Van Steel makes a very nice top quality bracket for the C5 front calipers for the early C4's. But it's a little pricey at $220 for the set. They do make good stuff though.
