I know somewhere there was posted a cad drawing of this bracket. I have the caliper and rotors. I just need the brackets. I can build these. Can someone point me in the right direction.

I have a spare set from vettes @carlisle. Powdercoated brackets
with all grade 12.8 hardware. For 85-87 Send email address for pics.
$135 shipped
These also work with C6 base & Z51

Note c5 brakes are not an upgrade over a c4 with 13" fronts (j55).
If you want to do the effort, do a c6 z06 brake conversion
I believe that when you're talking about an early car that's wrong! There's way more C5 parts available inexpensively to accomplish the task. The C6 Z06 that you've mentioned a couple times for "most" isn't either practical nor inexpensive. With any of the brake changes wheels are required so there's considerations/restrictions that apply.

I stand corrected.
My c4 world is lt1+ so i dont know what it takes to upgrade an early car. I back out of this discussion
Okay now I am confused. I too thought the c5 conversion was a upgrade on a c4. My 85 has the single piston calipers versus dual. Also I think the rotors were smaller too.

For an 85 - yep its an upgrade
For my 92 with the J55 - not so much. Big Brakes are where its at.

84 thru 87 C4's didn't have an optional brake package. The front rotors were just under 12" in diameter. All 84-96 C4 rear brakes were the same except for the parking brake. Prior to '88, the parking brakes was an internal drum system; '88 and later cars used the rear caliper for the parking brake.
The J55 brakes were part of an optional suspension package until about 1994. The standard rotors were 12" but they did have dual piston calipers. The larger 13" brakes were standard on all cars at that point. ZR-1's came with the J55 brakes.

You are NOT confused - some that have posted certainly are though.
'87 and earlier "front" calipers are single piston and the C5 upgrade is actually the only upgrade that makes economical sense. There's way more parts available and for less $$'s as a rule. A few years ago that wasn't the case. If the C6 base/Z51 calipers were available for less then that might be the choice. The brackets I believe are the same as mentioned and I don't believe it changes the wheel restrictions.
OP - you're on the right track but unless you received something more technical than what's contained in the image in post #4 I'd maybe wait and do some research for dimensions or consider a buy from someone that offers a more professional approach to the brackets. I don't know that an eBay buy is a good buy either until researched well.
The early C4 bracket seems a bit over-priced but I guess that maybe volume has something to do with that.
Something to consider is also that in some states if an inspector sees something that is "non-stock" during a safety inspection it can cause a "failure to pass" - the better the quality of the "fit and finish" of the adapter hardware could make a difference. Sometimes "purdy" matters!
