Default Measuring Fuel Pressure....

on a 90 with a MAP sensor. The test port for the gage is real tight behind the MAP sensor. I was just wondering how you all do it. I tried getting my gage on the fitting, just for fitament, and did not want to mate up. Do you have to remove the MAP sensor, but leave it connected to the port?
My FP gage has an elbow onthe fitting, but still did not line up well.
Thanks!

It is a tight fit. My connection is a straight one off the line. It does take some wiggling to get it lined up and get the threads started. I have never removed anything to connect it.

Thankfully I do not have to use it very often.

Mike,
I have to remove my MAP sensor to get on the shrader valve too. I leave it connected and just hanging there until I'm done checking/adjusting fuel pressure. It's a problem on the '90 because of where the MAP sensor is located.

Be sure to remove the vac line from your FPR and plug it before taking readings for future reference. Later do the same when adjusting your AFPR.

Yep, got it. I have done this on my L98 IROC. I usually measure it both ways. doesnt hurt to have the numbers. And today i loosened the MAP sensor, just to see how much room i would have around.
Good to go now!
