[Shiftlight]: Tach Wire
Help me out here. :)
I am trying to tap into the white wire that comes off of C100 on the firewall for the tach input. I can find it at the connector where it comes in, but then it is wrapped up in black electrical tape only to merge with another bunch of wires. Those head up towards the right side of the dash cluster where I would expect them too. So now I have about 2 or 3 white wires of the same size. I'd rather not tap into all of them to find the right one.
Any hints? Or should I just tap into it at the distributor.

hey scorp,
my 89 has the white wire#121 at terminal E1 on the C100 connector
this runs up to the Instrument Cluster's C5 terminal
perhaps this is of use to you?
solid state inputs - no ohmmeters!

To save any confusion, I just tapped into mine at the firewall.
You'll love the shift light, I have mine set low (5200 rpm's) just to see it come on more often.
