Seems low to me but not low enough to worry, what is your idle pressure when it is warmed up? Have you verified your pressures with a mechanical gauge to eliminate a gauge that is reading low. At 2000 RPM I am seeing 50 PSI.
When I first got my 89 the pressure reading was almost the same as yours , at idle I had 12 psi oil pressure.. I ran it like that for 4 years without a problem...Like mentioned above, check it with a mechanical gauge to make sure it's right... I have heard tech people say as long as you have 10 pounds of pressure for every 1000 rpms your good......WW
My 85 with 154K has 25psi of oil pressure at 175 degrees, coolant, 190 degrees, oil temp, at idle. Cruising, it's usually between 55-60 psi. I'm using Royal Purple 10w30 oil.
Alright, I know that there some who will cringe at this, but I had the same low pressure issues with my '88; one small container of STP oil treatment brought pressures right up to normal.
Seems latley it is reduced. 125K on lower end(original stock). 2004 MY. Oil changed every 4000 miles mostly hyway driving.
I am seeing 25-32 at cruise at 65-70 mph . coolant 200d F. 10w30 Quaker with Lucas zinc additive and lucas oil stabilizer. Hydraulic flat tappet cam.
What are you seeing? What is minimum?
Easy way to up the oil pressure is install a high volume oil pump, it will also boost the pressure on an older engine or high performance engine with greater clearances. Also check your oil pressure sender is accurate, is easy enough to remove the starter, sump and replace the standard oil pump with a high volume type. Note you must also replace the drive shaft with a metal collar as the standard one has a plastic one that can break. I did this to my old 350 that would drop to around 15 psi on idle and run 40-50 psi at cruising speed, a Mellings high volume oil pump increased that to 35-40 psi idle and 60-70 psi at cruising speed.
Thicker oil is also an option, (however 10 psi for every 1000 rpm is considered normal).

Adding STP is doing basically the same thing as using a higher viscosity oil , the STP thickens the oil, making it a higher viscosity.. Rohn, if your not happy with the oil pressure you have, step up to the next higher viscosity oil and see what that does... Something a lot of people don't realize is that oil filters of different brands, can affect your oil pressure as well.....WW
