I have two 96s currently, one is a conv. collectors Ed w/auto
And the other is a stick coupe.
Both have the FE1 suspension.
Looking into buying the KYBs.
My questions about the KYBs are how good a shock are they.
And I was was thinking about changing over to something like the z51 suspension someday in the coupe.
What would happen if I bought the z51 specific shocks and used the shocks for now with the fe1 suspension?
Any Advantages? Disadvantages?
Reason why I mentioned I have both these cars was the fact that the convertible seems to have a lot of cowl shake and being a convertible is there a better shock to help deal with the shaking.

z51 wont hurt or be hurt by the fe springs. but FWIW spend a little extra and stay away from the kyb's if you drive hard (kyb seems to have gotten to be lower quality) I just bought a set for my little crx commuter and they were blown out again in 2 months (warranty).

For my vett i opted for the qa1 adjustable, on the lowest setting its as soft as the bilstiens that were on it. Full tilt is perfect for autox.

I just put KYB's on my 85 and have no complaints. They were a great price also.

I put KYBs on the 88, rides very nice. I had Bilsteins on the 86 and would again if I went racing, but they can be a bit harsh for normal driving.

I would put KYBs on the vert for sure. I would really look at what I wanted to do with the other car as to whether I put Bilsteins back on it.

I think the KYBs should do well on the convertable
Think I want to go a little aggressive and use the z51 shocks for the coupe.
Appreciate all the responses, really helps to listen to experience
