Default VATS disabled

I want to disable the key sensor for VATS on my 93 coupe. I measured my key with a VOM. Its 7.25 ohms. A #13. I have the right value resister, but need help identifying the wire pair. I searched old threads to no avail. I found another forum for Impalla's or some other GM car that said an orange wire pair from the steering column is the one to use. Can anyone help me identify the correct wire pair? btw. I tried to clean the key. It's likely the reader inside. That looks like a big job. The only person prevented from driving off is me.
Thanks

choopes,
Here is an excellent picture of the VATS wires at the bottom of the steering column: from another thread.

Its the plug with yellow/grey on one side, and double white/yellow tubing on the other, right?

It's the only small connector that looks like that. You will have orange sheath, not sure of YOUR insulation colors. The small (30Ga?) wires go up to the keylock, the larger wires enter the harness.

This single post will answer "ALL"! The correct orange sheath and also images of the connectors. There's no mistaking anything after you check out this "single post"!!

Custom chip is your best bet! I burn them. My price is $50 shipped. You will never have a Vats issue again.
