Shifter boot (rubber one underneath the leather)
1994/ZF6. Drove the car for the first time this spring. The leather boot was torn up and removed. I have a new one that I haven't installed yet. I noticed the rubber boot beneath has a large tear (looks to be secured by 4 nuts). At speed heat pumps in through the tear like crazy.
I dont think it can be repaired. Are replacements available? What is the proper name for this piece?

No feedback? I ended up turning to google and came across a Toyota forum. Their solution for this problem was simple. Stitch together with some fishing line and then slather it with rtv. I did just that. It's been sitting on the hood of my tractor curing overnight and will be installed this evening. Hopefully it holds.
