you have a lot of adjustment in the window positioning, but it takes a lot of trial and error to get it right. I suggest doing it with the top in place. inside the door you have adjustments to move the window forward and back, angle at which the window goes up and down, stop points front and rear, plus angle adjustment on the rear stop. It has taken me hours to get mine about right after replacing the window regulators. I had to find a compromise between what the window does when the door is closed and then window rolled up; compared to what it will do when first rolled up and then door closed. Good luck
Well I guess it not just me, I have adjusted till I am blue in the face  and have it close but hoped to be enlightened by someone that got it to work.
When I am driving I must open the passenger side window to get my drivers side to close other wise the air pressure in the cabin holds it outward a little but the passenger side closes perfectly.
:smash:
Have you upgraded to the sissor style window regulators??? If you haven't...stop and do it. I highly recommend them. You can get them at comtemporary Corvette for about $125, but you can usually find them cheaper from someone parting out a car. I paid $60. The 85 ribbon system stinks. The windows move much faster and stronger with the sissor type regulators and the upgrade is easy....the adjustment isn't.
