Disconnect the backup switch and insert a paper clip, turn-on ignition and see if they light or check the switch terminals with power off and connecting a ohmmeter check for continuity.
All those plus the manual indicates the ignition switch, although I would think you would have other problems if that was the case.
That's true. Also, the Turn Signals are on the same fuse, so if they work, the Ignition Switch and Fuse are good.

Yes. My money is on the switch. That's what wore out on mine.
I think I have the same problem and have a replacement switch - question is - where the heck is it? Do you get at it from underneath, or can you replace from top by removing the console?
