Default Body style???

I bought a new wiper park switch since my wipers don't want to turn off unless I shut off the ignition, and the factory service manual says that means I need a new park switch.

The instructions that come with the park switch show that removal of one of more unused terminals may be required, depending upon the "body style" of the vehicle.

What is the "body style" of a 1992 Corvette convertible?

The switch was used all through the GM car line. Corvette is a Y - body.

A - Celebrity, 6000, Ciera etc

A - Also RWD early

B - Full size ( Impala, Bonneville, etc

G - RWD Grand Prix, Monte Carlo, Malibu, Cutlass, Regal

G - FWD - Aurora, Riviera

C - FWD - DeVille, 98 Olds, Park Ave

H - FWD - Bonneville, Lesabre, 88 Olds

J - Cavalier, Sunfire etc

F - Camaro, Firebird

W - FWD Grand Prix, Regal, Supreme

I just looked again at the instructions. They say that for a Y body, you can set up for either "pulse operation" or for "standard operation", depending upon what terminal configuration you choose for the switch. What do they mean by those expressions?

Pulse = 2 speed w/delay

Standard = 2 speed only

Ah, I see. My 1992 convertible currently supports delay, so I will go with the "pulse" configuration.
