I don't know if its a good solution yet, but what I plan to do is to run an air/water intercooler (frrozenboost) up front with the pump and water/air coil out back where the spare tire used to live.
has anyone figured out a good solution for an intercooler for our cars?
Yea pretty difficult to add it in and not overheat on a hot day with AC and stop and go traffic....
I went with water/meth injection and am happy with the results running that.

I've been using a water/meth injection for a number of years but want to move to something a little more consistent (mine was progressive based on MAP voltage) and wouldnt quit working for some reason (pump, empty reservouir, etc.). i was hoping to go air-to-air or air-to-water, if there was a good solution out there.

I like the idea of the radiator out back where the spare goes. which intercooler specifically are you looking at (i was on their site today) and where would you mount it? not much room up front.

I was thinking THIS kit. I have most of the original Procharger pieces going to/from their air to air intercooler, so I'm hoping to fit the air/water unit in the same location. I may need to drop it partially through the shroud to make it work.

I have a pretty nice one in my garage that is definately bigger than the procharger one. I never got to installing it because i have so much stuff sitting on the top of the dog house (iginition, alky injection setup). I believe it was custom made but I don't recall by who. I'll try to measure the core to give you an idea of what's possible between the hood hinges.

That would be appreciated. Also, if you could post a photo of two....
Thanks,

"THAT" kit looks nice.
Might conciser that for mine.
im building a new air to air setup that is using two 18 x 12 x 3 cores and fitting it in front of the ac radiator. I have been working on it for the last few days, I believe it will work and should be plenty of flow and cooling surface area for 1000rwhp easy, BUT it moves the entire radiator shroud assembly rearwards which most likely won't work with blower cars... bummer... I think for blower cars water to air units are best bet for space limitations if you are going to keep your air conditioning, and for me anything from now on WILL have A/C!
Hey guys. I have pics of the air to air unit. I don't know how to attach photos on here so if anyone wants pics of the core, I can email them. The core is 18" by 3.75" deep by 8.5" tall. It's basically as big as you can fit between the hood mounts. I keep forgetting to get a picture of the entire unit, but it looks similar to the procharger unit except the core is mounted under the dog house in the air stream. The inlet is on the outside of the hood rails/mounts in front of the passenger front tire area. Back when I bought it, I thought it probably should be good for 600 rwhp, and 700 with a little bit of loss but I can't remember what I based that off of. I think it was Corky Bell's book or website.
Anyhow, if you want photos, just email me at russriggs@yahoo.com and I'll get them over to you. If someone can post them to the thread, even better.
Here are some pictures of my progress today. you will notice the end tanks removed on the bottom of the intercoolers, a custom end tank will be made that incorporates an air dam where the factory plastic dam used to go.
