So I notice that the window was trying to rub on part of the car, where it meet the rubber seal. As if the door were sagging or something of that nature. So I got to looking at the window it self and found that the rod the window guides on, that "U" shaped felt guide is completely broke! And the window is going up in the front too far.
I have one on order and be here soon but I can't shut the door with the window up if I do the glass tries to hit the rest of the car. So I have to roll down the window, shut the door then rool up the glass.
Has anyone else have this happen?
Finally I get to work on it!
Re: Drivers side window about to fall out. (DarkRose94)
hmm, this sounds alot like what my car is going too but on the passenger side. Im taking it in today to find out whats wrong with it. The front of the window seems to come up too high and it tilts the window back so that it hits the painted part of the roll bar. I'm hoping mine is just a simple window adjustment.

I've got that problem too! I think mine is from the window stop getting bent. it was that way when I got the car and there's some scratches on the glass where the stop should be so hence my conclusion.
Re: Drivers side window about to fall out. (mn_vette)
Mine has done this for quite a while. If I would ever spend extra on something besides mods I would fix it
I just roll my window up to the point where it is even then close it. I have
tint so I can see when it is to high. Don't worry it won't break if you have it
up to much, it will sctrach the paint though. I know because when I say for
awhile I mean like 4 years! I know, bad corvette owner. That will get fixed
by the time the car needs painted.

K, just got back from having mine looked at. Turns out one of the clips that holds the window in place is broke on my door so we had to order another one. Estimated installation time is about an hour so its fairly cheap to fix. Hope that helps anyone.

This is a common problem....(mine is 94 coupe).. there is a small black plastic piece on bottom of glass which tilts the window when it comes up...it breaks often... you can get it from the dealer for about $7 and install yourself...It will either take a special tool from snap on or I used a spaner wrence from the local hardware.....it drove me crazy...looking at it in the car it looked ok but a piece was broken off..there has been severl articals on this on the board giving part# of both the tool and the window piece....your dealer parts breakdown will show you what you need. good luck
Re: Drivers side window about to fall out. (tbmoore)
Yeah That is what I did yesterday afternoon. The part came in on Tuesday...... yeah they always call ya  anyways yep that fixed it, I figure it would. Did a little pre-maintance stuff while I was there too. I was suprise as to how easy it was to fix. Now I just need to scrap up money for tires, brakes, rear shocks......... the list can go on from there.
