help battery issue.
Hey all stuck on the side of the road right now with what I think is a dead alternator. 2 month old auto zone junk. Here's what happened. Driving about 30 miles the battery when from 12+ to 7 steady dropping down. Question is if its not the alternator could a bad battery have the same symptoms? Thanks

It certainly sounds like you're getting no output from the alt to the battery and you were running on battery voltage until you got too low to run. If you can, load test the battery and have the alternator tested. I assume you've checked the connections at the alternator and battery?
