Default 92, 93 LT1 spark tables

Gentlemen,
I've just recently started playing with the LT1 early programming. I know when I look at L98 spark tables I add 6 degrees initial. The LT1 uses Optispark and someone told me it has 2 degrees built in? Is this your understanding?

Using my L98 knowledge I want to build a performance spark table, and need to know if this is the case.

Please understand that my really active tuning both on my LS2s and my LT1s is about 5-6 years out of date as the cars have been stored for that amount of time.

However, I recall that the more modern ECMs already have a fair bit of timing (based on not needing to be conservative due to the KS circuit) in them stock.

You have my most recent tunes (actually finished about 10 years ago) for my 93 F bod and 93 Y bod. I don't believe I have much more than 4 degrees added anyplace and that only in a few spots in the VE table.

I think I may have even been limited to adding 2-3 degrees in my 98 ECM.

It is add a slight bit of tuning and than log a lot and than measure KR if any. Once you get KR than back off tuning a bit. You will notice that I also will reduce the timing the KR table will pull out when it hears knock.

Now this is mostly because both my LT1s and the my LS2 are stroker motors with either JE or Mahle forged pistons and can take a bit more knock that the hypereutectic stock pistons.
