Ok, I see 3 new posts posted while I was writing my last post, so now I think I see what you guys are saying.
The net cost of a gear swap, parts and labor, is as much as $1250 rough estimate.
So:
1. What is the NET cost after buying a D44 / c beam / driveshaft package, selling the D36 / c beam / driveshaft package, and paying for the labor required to do the assembly swap?
2. Also, does anyone in the marketplace really want to buy a D36 / 2.73 ratio / c beam / driveshaft package? (If so, why?)
3. Could any 4-wheeler shop or other axle / suspension shop (as opposed to a Corvette specialist) really be able to do this job properly? (Proper torque settings, removal and install techniques, etc)?
4. Would a 4-wheeler or other axle / suspension shop also be set up to do the speedo gear change?

Do you remember the white T-Bird convertible with the white top in the movie "American Graffiti", that always seemed to be "gliding by"? THAT's the image I am going for with this car (My convertible is white with white top). A "cruiser".
So, did you budget for a blonde wig and 36D's? Probably want to tint the windows pretty dark too, to mask any 5 o'clock shadow!
