can anyone tell me what color the decals are suppose to be on a red 1986 pace car?https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...lies/crazy.gif

I think only the yellow cars got decals.

All colors of 1986 Convertibles came with the decals and were placed in the car and could put in place by the dealer or owner if desired. I'm not sure on the color of the decal but have seen some brochure pictures where they were Gold w/ Black. Good luck with your car

Harlon is quite right. A very good CF friend recently sold he '86 Pace Car to Rick Hendricks in favor of an LS7 powered C6. His name is Pete Mihaltian and he wrote an article for the NCRS Restorer magazine on this very subject. Your red Pace Car would most likely have come with Decal Kit part number 10050948, just as with my Black Pace Car. The decals were Upper Gold with Black inset, Lower Gold. This is what the box and contents would look like:
