On my 88 I was using the Bosch Platinum 4202s I believe. They worked fine for a few thou, and then it would run poorly soon after. I then discovered the Rapidfires (No. 5) and found the best performance for many thousand miles. A plug change on my old 88 was a cake walk. On my 94 it looks a little differant, but I will know for sure as soon as I figure this high idle condition out. In addition, I will be using the Delco platinums on the LT1.
Cheers,
Robert

I wanted to put in the NGK's but could not find them anywhere, so I went with the AC/Delco

NAPA usually has them, I ordered mine from Summit since I needed a bunch of other stuff.
They were around $1.99 ea.

The latest NGK Irridiums absolutely kick*** Replaced original AC Delcos and the car smoothed out at idle and got SOTP feel. Tried the Bosch +4 -but caused my 95 LT1 to detonate.
You have peaked my interest. I currently run the AC 41-906 stock platinum plugs, I tried the copper NGK TR55's and didn't have much luck with them. So you can feel more power with the Irridium NGK's? Would these be the TR55VX plugs or another designation? I like the AC's okay, but the whole thing with the platinum pucks (that are rumored to sometimes come off) they have on them still sort of bothers me a little.

They are the TR55VX, they are irridium and I got them from sparkplugs.com.
It was a noticeable difference, but what came out were, I believe, the factory AC platinums with 42K miles. Try them, you won't be disappointed.

Does anyone know what the part number is for the AC/Delco Rapidfires for an LT-1? Walmart is discontinuing AC/Delco from their shelves. They have the Rapidfires marked down to $4 for 2! I could not find a cross-reference sheet. Seems like a good deal to me! :yesnod:
