My transmission is a 700R4 from 1984. When I disassembled the pump, I was expecting to find the pump slide outer and inner springs. But the inner spring was missing. I don't know if this is due to a previous rebuild by some a**hole who lost it, or if there is no inner spring in this model?
replace it with a trans go sping and rotor kit trans go uses one stiff spring the facorty used a organge spring also that went inside i think that that was from 87 up with the 10 vane
All that ment was that trans was not apart before.New updates would fix this with addition of sec spring.Rec you check all updates before you button up trans.

How new is this?
I rebuilt my trans a couple years ago with a kit from Dana Wilkes of Pro-Built Automatics and there was only one spring in the kit. He uses a mix and match combination of parts, mostly TransGo. The kit did have a new rotor and vanes.
