Default what do i do now?

I'm replacing my opti and water pump. I am at the point that I need to loosen the crank pulley. When I try to loosen the bolts the crank turn. How do I stop the crank/pulley from turning. I don't have power wrachets. thanks it's a 94

stick it in gear it worked for me

Try another angle if you try to loosen on the side that your wrench is on you will have less mechanical advantage.So if your ratchet and socket is on the 6 oclock bolt and the ratchet handle is up it is easier to loosen than if you do the same thing with the 12 oclock bolt. I hope that makes sense

damb, now the pulley won't come loose. you think spraying wd40 and letting it sit overnight will work? I hit it wai a hammer but that didn't help

By far, the best penetrant for this job is a 50/50 mix of ATF and Acetone.
