Default Pulled the trigger....what else do I need?

I have a 94 6 speed coupe. I pulled the trigger and ordered a Comp Cams CC503 with all Comp Cam 1.6 SA aluminum roller rockers, lifters, moly push rods, and valve springs. I ordered an 80mm MASS housing, a Lunati timing set and all needed gaskets for intake, exhaust, water pump, and timing set. Also bought a set of Exotic Muscle ceramic coated long tubes with adapters to fit right up to my Corsa cat back. I am looking at 58mm throttle bodies. Made arrangements with PCMforless for a tune.

Anything else? Injectors? Are the housing or TB a waste?

Already have almost new water pump and MSD Opti.

Start tearing it apart and see what you can find.

Did you consult PCMFORLESS as to the cam?

IMO the 80mm MAF is not needed. Injectors, I'd have them cleaned and tested or replaced if it is Multec style. Why the 58mm TB? Are you having future plans to build it more?

Not planning on building any more. The cam/header/tune will be it for this car. Other cars to be finished. The more I read on the 58 TB, the more I think I will just keep the stocker. I did talk to (email)PCMFORLESS about the swap and let the know my plans. At one point I really wanted to do an Edelbrock LT4 head/intake swap but I can think of better places to spend the money along with worrying about too much power breaking things down the road on an almost 20 year old car.

When people say "this is all I go", I tend to believe that sooner or later, a little more will come till it is all wound up.

If your TB is toast, I'd go with 58. Otherwise, at your level, the stocker will flow more than you need. Buddy of mine added JUST the 58mm TB and went slower consistently because the car was not set up to work with it. Not sure exactly why but that is what the track results showed.

Headers and intake should be done then go with a tune to maximize it. Are you planning on dyno tuning it or tuning via datalogs?

Such as? Booze? Dope? Hookers? You have a D44 rear end so it is stronger than my stock D36. I changed to a D44 but will probably have to redo it somehow when it breaks.

FYI, you will need to get your intake ported to run a 58mm TB. If your TB needs replacing look into a 52mm bored out stock unit. Seems I read very few issues with the modified stock TB compared to its aftermarket counterparts.

Also, the MAF housing can make tuning more difficult.

I am starting to consider having it dyno tuned. That was my orginal plan but time crunch (have an even 8/17) has put that out of the question so I was going to PMCFORLESS. Since I don't think I will even get cam and related items in by then, might go back to the original plan.

From what I can gather, a 58mm TB on stock motor is so large that it slows down the velocity of the air coming in. If a Ram Jet 502 only needs 720 CFM, I would say my basically stock 350 can get by with the 750 CFM the stocker supplies.

I don't drink. I don't touch drugs. It's the 7 kids my wife and I have that suck up all my money. LOL Truthfully, I have other cars waiting on attention. I have a 1970 Monte Carlo I pulled off the frame and had totally resotred. It's been in paint for almost 10 years waiting on completion....all new paint, new motor, new trans, new rear end, new suspension, new wheels, new tires, new brakes, new interior, new wiring....and I STILL need more parts.

If you can wait, there is a shop in MN that will charge you winter hour labor rate. That is what I did in March. They can install it and dyno tune at the facility. They are damned good in my book. I go to them for major issues.

Pretty much so.

So, is that a no as far as hookers go?

Yeah...uh. No Hookers either. Except the shorties that are on the car right now.

I'm about 20 miles south of Cincinnati. I was going to take it to Cincy Speed for the dyno tune

I'd get LT headers. Not sure how much better the shorties are from stock.

Haven't been there. You know them or know of a few good references for them? Always need to know more speed shops.

I've never been there but my buddy has been. He has his 2102 C6 running 11.11 on motor alone with their help.

I put shorties on there last year. Other than a little top end and a louder sound, I really couldn't feel a difference. Looking forward to putting LTs on as soon as I get them in. I am hoping they come today...be a good weekend project.
