Have you tested the FP relay under the dash or the pump in teh tank? Could be a bad part, bad wire, bad relay -- really lots of stuff.
Do you have the FSM? IT tends to hold the keys to the kingdon when troubleshooting - best $75 I ever spent considering what a tow costs now a days.....

No power in car, no gauges, and ignition or horn excepts headlights. Engine cranks when I jump it but power inside.
So as we are not very good mind readers on here and ESP doesn't work well over the interweb , how about some history on the car ?
Was it starting and running normally ( ever??? ) before this problem?
Have you made any recent changes ; installed / removed something ?
What has been done to it , is it new to you ,etc etc , ........
At present ,as ladystoy69 states you don't have a "Corvette" specific problem ; you have a generic no start problem .
Google "no start engine" and do the basic spark/ fuel tests 1st

Ok.. Car is new to me. Told it was the theft deterrent is activated. Bought car and didn't run. Have ignition keys but no door keys, have headlights and taillights, no dashboard lights. I got an external fuel pump and hooked it up and jumped the starter and car started. Good battery. I have checked everything that can be checked.

left out the part that you had to turn the key to run as well, but ok that tells that you are getting power to the ignition switch(if you needed key on) so yes it is kinda sounding like a vats problem except for a couple important things...
1. 84 had no vats
2. vats would only stop starter and fuel not dash and all interior power
ahh so there is a vats sorta speak, my bad i stand corrected sorry
why does my 85 not have that ? was it an option?
I had this argument with a friend who has an 85. If you click on the link I posted you can see his response. I'm pretty sure you have it unless yours is an anomaly.

The Starter Interrupt Relay was part of the '84-'85 theft deterrent system ; if the relay was bypassed as I noted above
then you probably wouldn't know.

lol at the response
well i guess if you and vetteoz say it does then probably does, hmm something else to find and investicate, not that i want it as i have full keyless/remote start/paging alarm already even has perimiter detection.. i just need to find it now to feed my need to know hahaha
VATS was first used in 1986. Prior to that the starter relay was controlled by the TDS (Theft Deterrent System). That's the one that is turned off by unlocking the door with the key.
It also honks the horn if the door is opened without using the key to unlock it. You can make this happen by arming the alarm and then opening the car from the inside. I did it once when I didn't want to dig my keys out of my pocket and I had the window down about 4" because it was a very hot day. I reached in over the window and hit the door unlock button. Honk. Honk. Honk...
I don't know about other years, but on my car the horn will honk if you lock the door but don't close it. You have about 45 seconds to close the door after arming the alarm or it will start honking.
