Default Wire Identification

Hello all,

Can anyone identify this wire? It's a 2 pin, with a brown and a black wire. Further to the right along the wire, you'll see another connector that seems to act as a simple bridge, the wires exiting that towards the right are brown, and black/purple.

Can't figure out where this is suppose to go....sigh......

And yes I know the spark plug wires are mismarked, previous owner........

Thanks,
Rich

It plugs into the Manifold Air Temperature Sensor.
Location of the sensor is underneath the plenum where the Yellow
arrow points to.

The second picture shows the sensor looking from the firewall
towards the front of the car. The pipe you see is the fuel rail
crossover tube where the fuel pressure regulator is.
