what temp should I use for summer? for winter? how are to change?

In NM, i would definitely use a 160. Theyre easy to change, the thermostat on L98s is just under the throttle body.

You'll get a bunch of different opinions on this. Some use 160, some 180, some 200, some stock. I have a 180 in mine and use it year around. remember just because you have a cold thermo. doesn't neccessarily mean that the temp. will stay at at that.

I run a 160 deg stat & fan sw year around in SE NY and NE OH.

It just passed OH E-test with flying colors and got over 31MPG on the 450mile trip to/from OH.
