I have a stock '93 coupe with 285/17 rear and 255/17 front.
A friend of mine has a set of ZR1 style wheels with Dunlop sport 500 P275 40 ZR17's for sale. My question is can I switch wheels and tires without making any other changes? Is this a good move or should I stick with the original wheel and tire sizes?
You shouldn't have any problems with the ZR1 275/40/17's. The rims you have now are probably the same part number as my '92, and I run 275/40/17's. Don't have a pic for you, sorry, but I'd bet money they'd look great on your car.

Shouldn't stick out unless you have 17x11 rears, then your tire size would be 315/35/17's. A friend has put 17x11's on the rear of his '85, no mods to rear suspension and they don't stick out, maybe just alittle, 1/4 or so, but you have to be looking for it to see it.
