I tested my TPS this weekend, closed it is set to .54 and as I increase the throttle it gradually climbs like it should but at WOT it only reads 3.49. According to the shop manual it should be around 4.96. Is it bad or is this okay? When I test points A & C I get a reading of 4.99.
Loosen the upper TPS bolt and just back off the lower enough to be able to rock the TPS.
Measure current TPS idle voltage, so you can maintian base idle setting. Then rock it about the lower bolt to get the max. WOT reading.
If you cannot get much above 4.0Vdc, do the IAC base idle adjust procedure. Then increase the TPS base value to about 0.65Vdc (above 0.67Vdc the ECM may throw a code). This will allow you to get a little higher WOT TPS reading.
