Clutch replacement
How do I get the overdrive coolant lines off from the units. The threads are so soft that I tried to use a wrench and just took off one of the six corners. Is the second screw that they're threaded on to made of plastic? is the connection safe for heating?

I wouldnt heat it. You may have to cut them. Use a tubing cutter so you dont get shavings in the lines. Now going back together is up to your wallet. You can buy new stock lines, or get some nice custom pieces with quick release ends. Or if you just want to put it back together, get some "transmission coolant hose", and some hoseclamps, and your good to go. h

Thats why they call them projects. Lol. Here's quick release stuff I was talking about. Its called "Jiffy-tite". Like I said they are a tad on the spendy side, but worth it in the long run. Ive seen whole cars plumbed with them. Water, oil, and fuel. h
